The Arizona Interscholastic Association recently announced that the 4A and 5A high school football championships will be moved to Glendale this year, to be played in the new Arizona Cardinals stadium. Class 4A and 5A Division II title games are scheduled to be played on Dec. 2 , and the Class 4A and 5A Division I will be on Dec. 9.

As part of the stadium-use deal, the Cardinals have agreed to let the high school sports governing body use the state-of-the art facility rent-free and return at least 60 percent of the profits from ticket sales.

At the south end of the stadium, the Cardinals are also creating a permanent display to highlight previous high school football championships. But the Cardinals have yet to uncover all the photographs they need to complete the display.

So, coaches and athletic directors, if you have photos from Class 5A through 1A championship football teams, the Cardinals would appreciate it if you would be willing to share the memorabilia.
