About the Magazine

"The ultimate aim of athletics lies not in victory or defeat, but in the development of the character of its participants"

SportZine Magazine debuted on high school campuses in 2002, an exciting and unique publishing venture designed to promote the value of athletic competition and personal accomplishment of high school students. It is a magazine not just about high school sports, but the stories behind the athletes that play them.

In its print version, SportZine was distributed free to high school students throughout the Valley, reaching students in more than 80 high schools. A selection of back issues are offered for download on this site.

Today, the publication has created an online presence that enables us to publish real-time articles in a distributed way so that everyone can contribute content.  That will eventually merge again with a new, revamped print edition that will be used as a yearly "time capsule" of each school year's athletic achievements. 

We welcome your contirbutions to this website, whether they be article submissions or ideas, or suitable photos that illustrate the excitement of high school sports.
